Unmanned Systems Canada

2010 Student Papers are now Closed

Please check back in January for the 2011 Competition

The Unmanned Systems Canada Annual Student Paper Competition will once again be featured at our 2010 Conference in Montreal, Quebec from November 2nd – 5th 2010 at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.

The Competition is open to all Canadian undergraduate and graduate students at a recognized university or college who are registered in full time studies at the time of submission.

Those students submitting the top 3 abstracts* as decided by the Selection Committee will be invited to write full papers to be judged and presented at the 2010 Conference in Montreal (an all-expenses paid trip). Top three Candidates will be notified by July 30, 2010.

The experience at the Unmanned Systems Canada conference is invaluable in that students get to interact with the rest of the Canadian unmanned vehicle systems (UVS) community and more clearly understand how their research resonates with practitioners. In addition to the conference experience, the student** whose paper and presentation is selected as the winner will get his/her expenses paid to accompany Unmanned Systems Canada to an international UVS conference the following year (location TBD) in order to present his/her paper and help to represent the Canadian unmanned systems community.

*The paper must be original work.  It can have multiple authors, all of whom must be students in full time attendance at a recognized academic institution.  Only one student will have expenses paid to attend the conference, additional authors who wish to attend must register as a regular attendee regardless of being a co-author.

**Only the student who presented at the conference and is chosen as the winner will have his/her expenses paid to attend the international conference.
