Transport Canada CARAC Meeting - 28-30 June 2010
This meeting will be of interest to all members of the UAV community. Please review the Invitation Letter, Agenda and Terms of Reference for a proposed working group below.
INVITATION_LETTER AGENDA TERMS_OF_REFERENCE
CALL FOR Membership for two Transport Canada CARAC Working Groups "As per the CARAC Management Charter and Procedures, members are requested to advise the Secretariat of their interest to participate in the Transport Canada Civil Aviation Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Systems Program Design Working Group and/or the Fatigue Management Working Group. The names of those members who have advised the Secretariat of their interest to participate in the Working Groups will be presented at the June 28-30, 2010 Technical Committee meeting where the Working group membership will be selected. The Terms of Reference of the Working Groups will also be reviewed and approved at the Technical Committee meeting. The Executive Director and the Working Group Leader will present the Technical Committee with their recommendations for the Working Group membership; however, it will be the responsibility of the Technical Committee to make the final membership selection."
Members who are interested in participating in the Working Groups should forward a letter stating their interest before June 14, 2010 to the attention of Ms. Kathie Keeley, A/Chief, Regulatory Affairs. Miniature Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (MUAV)
Nature of Requirement:
The Department of National Defence has a requirement for five (5) Miniature Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MUAV) systems. The MUAV systems will be deployed in Afghanistan and in Canada. Each MUAV shall be operated by teams of two (2) DND Personnel. The complete Systems must be field proven, very robust, reliable and able to withstand the harshest of field conditions. Delivery of all 5 MUAV systems is required on or before 75 days from date of Contract Award.
Along with the acquisition of the five (5) MUAV Systems and associated spares, the contractor will be required to provide Integrated logistical support at Kandahar Air Field (KAF), Afghanistan (until withdrawl of Canadian Forces personnel estimated 31 July 2011) and training and supervision to Canadian Forces (CF) personnel in Canada.
Completion of Canada's initial training and supervision requirements must be provided no later than 3 September 2010. All other delivery dates are included in the solicitation document.

Canada retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on this procurement. |
